A brand new 'Next Generation' PC-12 is seen crossing the Stans to Ennetb├╝rgen road on its way from the Pilatus factory to Buochs airfield. Roads crossing taxiways and even runways are not uncommon in Switzerland

Never seen that before!!! even a pedestrian crossing have some painting on the ground and traffic lights where it's not safe to cross the road. but here there's just a little red light flashing! I guess the Swiss drive safer than the Frenchs! just a guess^^

Lovely shot! If this s some where in China, the airplane must be equipped with a horn,a very loud horn ;), Five Stars from Ye WU @DLC~

It seems the pilot only has a license for driving a car that is why he/she prefers to drive on road rather than fly! Anyway, this pic absolutely has no equal! I like the warning sign for the airplane crossing under the red traffic light!

Note the (what appears to be) a "Watch for Aircraft" sign. Where's the engine? This is a single-engine prop, with the engine in the nose.

I wonder what the guy on the bike is thinking...

Just love this photo because here in Santa Cruz CA they are about to spend a fortune on roadsigns reminding drivers that cyclists have the right of way in the MIDDLE of the road. Heck they dont even respect red lights just bike on through wish we had an aircraft factory requiring such access here maybe some of the idiots might just respect a spinning prop. As for the local I guess he is used to it and what an excuse for being late for work "well there was this plane on the road boss"
Great photo for its subject alone.

What would happen if somebody would crash into this plane?
Calling the police and telling them that you had an accident with a 'plane'?!

What a wonderfully exquisite photo Peter. The clarity and detail are outstanding. If I could, I would gladly give this photo more than 5 stars. It's worthy of way more than that...
