A visitor from Norway posted Sat July 4, 2009: Looks like the front-seat pilot tried to get the canopy off the emergency way. Maybe it didn't work properly due to low speed/standstill in the water. Scary situation.

A visitor from Switzerland posted Sun May 18, 2008: Awesome! :) but why did the pilot smash the cockpit when there is an emergency cockpit-jettison..which in the picture clearly hasn't been used. You can also see that the glider is equipped with FLARM (kind of a TCAS for small avs.)

I like the story behind it and the fact that the people in the plane survived the incident. Also, the photo itself appeals to me: I like the lines and the colors.
