Photographed in Poor light and early morning mist while staging through Luton. The intended ferry flight was from New Zealand to Louisiana, however an engine failure shortly after takeoff in Greenland (18th Oct 1988) resulted in a forced landing on rocky fjord shore. Thankfully the pilot survived to fly another day. To aid safe passage through sensitive regions the yellow patches on the wings and tail were applied to signify that this was a non combat aircraft. These aircrafts/air crew were all destroyed in aviation accidents. The crews walked away in some but not in all. RIP.
