This photo was taken by my grandfather, Francis Francis, in the Early 1930's, of his plane, the blue falcon. During World War II he was too old to serve as a fighter pilot , so he was a base commander for the ATA, a civilian ferry group which flew aircraft for the Royal Air Force and the United States Air Force. Please forgive the quality as the photos are just a little bit old.
