This Spitfire was built in 1945, in 1951 operated by No 51 Squadron RAF at Singapore airfield, later transfered to Thailand Air Force and there flown until 1962. This year was purchased by Ed Maloney and in 1968 rebuilt for static exhibit. In years 1994-2002 was restored to airworthy at Chino and fitted with contra-rotating propellers and engine Griffon 58A from a Avro Shackleton. Since 30 April 2005 is owned by Christophe Jacquard, a well known French warbids collector. During the winter of 2008-09 it was refitted with her original engine and received the colours of No. 152 Squadron with distinctive leaping panther marking, white code UM-E, operated with Spitfires Mk.VIII in 1945 at Burma.
