Sadly being broken up with the mighty Kuznetsov turboprops lying on the ground. This amazing machine was first registered in 5.61 and was operated jointly with JAL into Western Europe during 1967 in a 105-seat configuration, reverting to 220 in 1969. Wfu 1976 and preserved at the VARZ400 rework facility being used as a classroom for a time prior to this unfortunate demise.

Wow! Sad stuff indeed. Magnificence in ruins. Foolish. Somebody could care less about their treasures. They should've sold it to some aviation museum that would've cared for and proudly displayed this awesome historic aircraft....or even it's distinctive components. Those are some cool engines!

It is always very sad to see the death of an aircraft like this tu-114. Hope the other tupolevs wont end up like this.
