CCCP-77112 (cn 07-1) The Tupolev Tu-144 (NATO reporting name: Charger) was the first supersonic transport aircraft. The 4× Kuznetsov NK-144 afterburning turbofans gave it a maximum speed of mach 2.35! (2,500 km/h,) Now... it stands high over Sinsheim.
