This RV-6 crashed about 1/2 mile east of 27R in an orange grove. The pilot hit a palm tree and dropped 10 feet while being spun 180 degrees. Their were no injuries, 2 lucky guys walked away from this. The right wing disconnected from the fuselage.

Trees in sight - avoid them! A tree is a perennial woody plant. It is most often defined as a woody plant that has many secondary branches supported clear of the ground on a single main stem or trunk with clear apical dominance.
