With Russian AF markings. Flown by a Belgian aerobat G-CBSS probably produced the most distinguishable engine sound of all participants in the Dutch Open National Aerobatics Championship 2007, held at Lelystad.

This Yak 52 will again participate in the Dutch Open National Aerobatic Championship (DONAC 2010) at the end of August 2010. For more info DONAC website.

Yak-52's are excellent aerobatic trainers : all the Russian Aerobatic Champions : Svetlana KAPANINA, Michael MAMISTOV, Oleg Spolyansky, Alexandre Krotov, ... etc have trained (and are still flying !) with the Yak-52.
