OO-VLR (cn 20121) Fokker updated the venerable F-27 with modern engines and electronics and a redesigned cabin in 1983 as the Fokker 50, but production ended in 1996 when Fokker folded. They re becoming rarer now, but Belgian regional Vlaamse Luchttransportmaatschappij (VLM) still has 19. This one (named City of Brussels) is seen from Ringway s aviation viewing park taxiing out to depart. (400D, stabilised Sigma 80-400 & fluid-head tripod - an 80th second exposure has blurred the propeller discs nicely.) |
