This airfraft was the first delivered Yak-40 for CSA - Ceskoslovenske Aerolinie in 1974 and registered as OK-EEA. In 1984 was sold to VZLU (Czech aviation research institute), modified as flying laboratory for tests of new engines Walter M-601/V-510 and chiefly new propellers. Yak flown by VZLU 316 hours and performed 339 flights. Until 1999 was stored in Kbely hangar and moved to Bubovice airfield as ground apparatus test-room. There standing up to the present day, but in very weather-worn painting.
