Feel the noise XD!!!

It's awesome to see a fighter plane flying so low, but an airliner, and a 707 (no fbw, kinda heavy controls, no "flight-envelope protection", just skill, true aviator's skill) is something even more remarkable.

Thanks for sharing it, velho :D!

I'm so proud to be the captain flying this varig
B-707,passing lower altitude over jacarepagua airport, rio de janeiro,in honor of the aniversary of alberto santos dumont, who was the first human to create a machine that can lift itself from the ground, on october 23,1906,with the famous 14-bis airplane.
the wright brothers machine had to be propeled from the ground by a slingshot mechanism so it can not be considered an airplane, like the brazilian 14-bis.

Rio de Janeiro, around the 70's, riding a car close to the airport, this was the closest aircraft I could see back there, a Varig B-707. That day I knew aircrafts would be my first passion in life. It still is. It makes me feel nostalgic. Great pic for the technology back there.

Five starts, Cedrini.
Everyone is longing for the second most beautiful airliner ever (I still think the 747 is the number one, but the 707 had more charm) !

As a native of Porto Alegre, RS, Brasil I was employed at VARIG AIRLINES from 1970-72, and this is the best picture I ever see on the old 707. Awesome.

That's because it's an exhibition flight..
It couldn't land in SBJR. The runway is only 3000'

Great shot. Great plane. I can hear it just by looking at it.

A visitor from United States posted Thu July 12, 2007:
Excellent photo, but what I would like to know is when the landing gear will come down. It looks so low for the gear not to be fully down.

A visitor from Venezuela posted Mon July 9, 2007:
Man! This plane is flying so low.(Quite scary) It looks like an exhibition flight. IMO, it is a very good photo, because it is pretty hard to see jetliners like this B-707 flying that low.

This shot makes me remember the good old days !! Not only a great shot of the 707 but also the aircraft carrier visual slope indicator...I beleive that was on board of the Minas Gerais (Brazilian retired aircraft carrier). Very nice shot !

What a wonderful shot... The 707 was perfect wearing the Varig classic scheme! One of the most impressive shots I've ever seen here at Airliners.net!

Congratulations Mr. Cedrini.
