PP-VPX (cn 28870/2899) The sign says: "STOP, DANGER". The drawing occured at least twice for real! Nice view of Varig“s 733 and the Sugar Loaf. The most beautiful approach in the world in my opinion. [Kodak DX6490]

It was all over the news when it happened, unfortunately, the cab driver ignored all the signs and decided to cross anyway... Belive me, it is not a mith, it has happened before in this airport.

For the american mates below:
Yes, the engines from a Boeing 737 can blow a car! It happened once to a cab that was passing right after a VASP Boeing 737-300, while it was accelerating for take-off... The cab rolled over itself twice or three times, hit the rocks on the shore and got to the water...

A 737 may not blow over a car but any heavies would do it without breaking a sweat.

This is a great picture! I love the backdrop of the mountain! As regards the sign, I saw on an episode of Mythbusters where they attempted to recreate the accident using a jet engine on a trailer and a Chrysler taxi cab. The problem was the jet engine wasn't big enough to push the car over!
