PP-VQK (cn 48758/615) The MD-11 shows some special character and counts to my favorite type of ac. See in detail a back view of the rear engine. Can you too feel the charme of this work of art?

How much heavy the rear section of MD 11, with his second engine. that's why MD 11 who converted to cargo aircraft always tipped at the airport.

This shot deserves all superlatives a spotter can say. I had the opportunity of flying this very bird from MAO to GRU in nov/2004 (great and funny flight). Congratulations Mr. Schmidt !

Indeed the trijets are the most elegant airliners ever and the majestic MD-11 undoubtedly tops the list, Thumbs up for every airline who's still flying them and of course Mr. Schmidt who made this lovely shot!!

Beauty!!! I love this angle. If all this planes will be retired it will be very sad for me. These planes look magnificant and are very powerfull. I love them... The most wonderfull plane in the world for me...

A visitor from Portugal posted Thu May 25, 2006:
They just dont make planes like this anymore do they......? Shame MD just "flew" into the ground, they made the best if not nearly the best planes around.....

A visitor from Mexico posted Thu May 25, 2006:
Yeah! It´s a very different way to contemplate the number three engine. So clean and shiny too. T.B.

This is art. Symmetry and reflections add to the magic of the picture.

As a technician I must say this picture creates something like respekt. Not fear but respect. I once got nearly sucked by an engine. The jetblast isn't too healthy too. So let's tick our hat to this great shot!
