Remark Photographer
G-VELD (cn 214) LHR is simply the best...At any other airport you would be glad to get one of them below! Three special liveries visible in this shot! Can also you find QF's "Wunala Dreaming"? ;) Shot taken during take off on Rwy 27R back to Dusseldorf.

One of my favorite shots on the database!

Excellent photograph. An excellent mixture of aircraft showing not just various carriers but also various phases of operation.
@ Second Visitor (from US): Cropping without wings would've taken Wunala Dreaming out. Would've diminished the quality of shot.

Delta never flew to Heathrow back in 2007 along with Northwest,Continental and US Airways i think they all started flying to Heathrow under the new open skies agreement on May 1st 2008. Excellent Shot.

A visitor from India posted Mon August 17, 2009:
Nobody seems to have noticed the second Air India on taxi, facing the ANA! :)
Three Indian carriers here, not bad! :)

This is one of the best airport/terminal overview photos of LHR. Thankyou for taking and posting it Florian. Regards, LACA773

A visitor from Guatemala posted Tue September 25, 2007:

A visitor from France posted Tue August 28, 2007:
This shot is just marvelous. The quality of it is very high and it shows particularly well Heathrow airport being busy, as usual. I like seeing the aircraft parked at their gate or being towed like the JAL 777 and the ANA 747, or taking off like BA’s 777, or taking to runway…. My favorite plane remains the Boeing 747-400 of Malaysia Airlines.

A visitor from Australia posted Tue August 21, 2007:
Sorreeee! You are right! I was looking at the Malaysia at the end of the finger. That is certainly QF but I cannot make out the markings.

A visitor from Australia posted Tue August 21, 2007:
Great photo but no Wunala Dreaming. That is, or was layed up at AVV. Unless I am completely mistaken that carrier is not QF.

A visitor from Mauritius posted Tue August 21, 2007:

A visitor from United States posted Mon August 20, 2007:
Love the variety, but sadly no American based carriers in the pic.

Nice shot of one of the worst airport for travellers! Thank goodness one can avoid LHR nowadays...

A visitor from Spain posted Mon August 20, 2007:
What a great shot! In any other European airport you will not find an UL 340, MK 340, AI 772, NH 744, KE 744, 9W 330, JL 772, MH 744, various VS 340, QF 744 (in the top left of the photo) at same time.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Mon August 20, 2007:
I can also spot a Srilankan Airlines A340!

A visitor from Mexico posted Mon August 20, 2007:
"Wunala Dreaming" is at the top left corner of this great shot. Lots of Virgins also down there. T.B.

A visitor from United States posted Mon August 20, 2007:
Nice pic! I give it four stars only because of the wing visible in the upper right-hand corner. Try to trim that out next time, and your picture will be perfect!
