Visiting Zurich for the "Get Well" programme. I've already seen a lot of engines in this position, but those red Trent 500 just beat everything you can imagine in matter of size. The nose cowl has been taken off for inspection giving a lovely view on those amazing shaped fan blades

AH! RR Trent 500s... the Trent is probably the best engine series to date! So flexible that it can fly on almost any airframe and so efficient that others give huge discounts to beat them... this picture shows why they are every reasonable engineers choice! 5*

See how close the slat gets to the cowling of the #1 Engine, there a few aircraft (747 among them) where you should never drop the slats with the cowls open or you will find some dents later on :).
