Awesome action shot, very dramatic! Nice catch with the fuel venting out... Yes it is fuel. On hot/humid days like this the fuel expands and then is ventilated from the surge tank through that small vent.
Looks lovely banking to the left
Oh, man ... difficult to describe .. What a familiar sensation! Wonderful! ... this type of tropical trees makes me feel on a flight here in Brazil .. Cheers! ;-) 5* [Mrvsk]
To the visitor from Mexico (Back in 2008 hah): "Why virgin blue aircrafts are red? Isnt it ironic? (I felt like Alanis Morisette hehe)" In Australia, if you have red hair, you're usually called "Bluey"
Great shot of a great plane! Love the baby vortex off the right wing (no people..its NOT fuel).
Stunning shot mate, to speak with good old Steve Irwin, she's in her very own habitat! And btw, the small stripe coming off the trailing edge on the right wing is definitely NOT fuel. Strange that so many people are still unaware of the fact that the seventhirty simply does not sport this option, it never has and never will I suppose.
Great Photo, i love shots that get the angle these planes fly at sometimes. to the visitor who asked why are Virgin Blue planes red? in Australia we call someone with red hair bluey. so its a bit of Australian slang

I love this photo. Her red livery makes a great contrast from the background.
This photo is surely in my Airliners TOP 10!! Excelent shot!
Love the angle. | |
Wow, this photo is incredible!. It blew me away.
My New Background! | |
Superbe shot! And if you look close enough you can also see a bit of fuel coming out of the right fuel vent...5 stars
Top shot Martin! The atmosphere and the angle are just awesome.
Excellent composition and depiction of movement. power and beauty in one shot.
Excellent shot Martin; definitely has the ..WOW..factor
Great shot, Martin. Philthy
Great job ! Almost better than air-2-air...
Wicked perspective! | |
Awesome angle and great clarity. Nice Capture
One of your best Martin! Makes me want to pick up the ol' camera and go out shooting! Keep 'em coming!
Stuning! The lack of any reference point makes it seem as if you had taken the picture mid air from above as the aircraft was banking left.
Great capture of an unusual opportunity.
Stunning shot, even for Cairns. Great timing, well done. K.
Nice angel of this nice bird.
Looks like a stunning air-to-air shot, also notice the residue fuel being released on the right wing! Excellent shot!
