N339SS (cn 001) SpaceShipTwo during the landing roll after its third successful unpowered flight. WhiteKnightTwo released it at high altitude and the unpowered flight back to earth was about 12 minutes long.

Great Picture! It is just a breathtaking aircraft! To see this must have been great, The detail in the picture is incredible and its really interesting to see how the landing gear is and the flaps at the rear of the spacecraft. Great Shot, A++

I assume during the ground roll you would steer with the rudder and maybe differential braking. Thereafter it would have to be towed since it is unpowered. Anyone who knows for sure can correct me if I'm wrong.

Skid plate vs real wheel? For sure it's all about space (the whole mecanism would be big for the nose?) + weight (this looks a lot lighter!).

My question is how you steer this ship on the ground!?

Wow! The future has arrived. Does anyone know why the nose gear has a skid-plate and not a wheel?
