A great example of why some planes should be equipped with loud air horns, like those on big trucks. There are places in the world where people will just NOT get out of the way. I know of one such incident that cost four lives, all of them on the plane (pilot rotated too early because some people were in the way).
Sweet | |
Cool stuff | |
Poor guy but nice photo!
No kidding! | |
It's time to change underwear.. :)
Pilot must have been frightened too. Seems to be hard landing...
Duck! | |
Awesome photo! | |
The pilot must be shouting to him : Get lost from my path!
I think the guy on blue says: "oh sh*t!"
A very unique airport. Only for experts. When I've been there, an Otter Twin almost hit my car's roof (for 1 meter).
The skidmarks on the runway are in all odd directions.
Great photo TFFJ it's simply wonderful!
This place likes the SDU airport
This is an amazing airport with some amazing approaches.
Simply great! | |
Is the pilot turning away from the runway? The guy on the beach could be the plane's new target.
What a moment!! | |
Nice pic! I love how the guy ducks to avoid the plane.
Wow! | |
Very very nice and funny picture because the pilot was about to hit the men. Regards, Akshit Soota India
Seen this beach and aircraft approaching runway many times. This shot is a bit different. Well done
Great shot! taken at the right time. like to hear what that guy who's walking on the beach thought of the pilot
No need to run and hide it is wonderful
I did practice St Barth rwy 10 n' rwy 28, there's a big red sign on the beach telling tourists to stay well clear, but runway 10 is almost always in use...so when it's 28 (rarely)...tourists never think of looking the opposite way for once...and when you're short final 28: there's no way to execute a go around !!!
You chicken. The pilot seems to have no idea what he is about to hit.
Is very dangerous, but at the same time espectacular!!!
Its just an insane moment
It seems as a difficult approach...or the pilot is over instruction.
A great action shot caught at the right instant, showing the danger of runway incursions. I hope the comment blaming the pilot for flying low was tongue-in-cheek. These thoughtless trespassers endangered themselves and the occupants of the aircraft. Evidently fencing is needed.
Sharp picture of an aircraft in an unusual situation
One of the Best Photo i have seen ...
Just great | |
Did the Captain fill an airprox? What about the tourist?
I would recommend a "mind the planes"-sign at this area. :o) Very nice shot.
Id LOVE to get that close!!!!Brilliant shot!!!!
That was me | |
Nice Photo. The BN-2A is one of my favourite A/C. I will be skydiving out of one on the weekend!!
Nice photo. The guy sawn the plane in de good view. Very good
Looks like the pilot was actually aiming for him !! j/k great pic
Years ago I made similar experiences when flying a BN-2 into Helgoland in the North Sea, coming over a populated beach which was covered with warning signs which in turn were mostly disregarded
Awesome photo, wish I'd taken it. ;) -Leo P.
Poor fellow... | |
Snore, now theres a really good photo! Good work.
I wonder... what will happen when longshore drift will wash what amount of sand is left before the runway... Well caught! Especially the propellors.

Good | |
Excelent shot!!!! Me aswell I love this approach on VATSIM; I often meet some ATC there :) this is a great place - but I prefer Beirut - OLBA :D
Nice Shot! That area on the beach would be an excellent place to go spotting.
I just noticed the props are unsynced..is that normal on the BN?
Another One Bites the Dust... Je Je
LOL it must be pretty scary for that guy but great picture.
Holy cow! thats incredible!
"Watch your head!" ;) T.B.
Attractive shot! | |
Wow! This is unusual. From first glance you might thought this is at SXM.
That beach is a good place for a "mind your head" sign!
These guys must be locals. If that were me, I'd probably hit the ground.
Nice photo | |
Oh my, that's way scary, i wouldnt like to be in his place!
Very nice approach | |
Humor and a good picture.
Ouch!! | |
'Ladys and gents, clean up yer logo's and pin back yer ears and keep yer eyes open when crossing the path of the final approach!' Great catched photo, hope to not get any crosswind in the wrong moment here! Isn' there any signs on the beach?
Love flying this approach on VATSIM after arrving froma long haul, amazing how manygreat people i met from the Caribbean online:)
Very unusual and dangerous
