Aviation Photo #1150222 Boeing 737-81Q - XL Airways

Oh for a rear view mirror! I wonder if the 737's crew know how close their colleagues are behind them. I could not resist the opportunity to juxtapose these two 'Little and Large' Boeings - those 777 engines (belonging to AP-BGL) can be seen to be almost the same size as the 737's fuselage. Seen here holding for Runway 24L.

Again, this shows something new or rare in the database so far. And a touch of humour is not a bad thing either. Congratulations!

Good size comparisons are rare, but this one is stunning, and the photo quality is excellent!

Extremely interesting photo; it also begs some questions; lens used; app. separation between planes; situation....is the 737 commencing T.O. roll? the 777 holding? finally, why such a small image?
Again, very dramatic and interesting size comparison, shot, plus excellent photographically speaking; will look at this again and again!

Re Comment No. 7 - lens was at 200mm (Canon zoom). As suggested in the comment, the 737 is at the Victor Alpha holding point waiting for clearance to enter Runway 23L. The 777 is close behind, also for that hold. Image is this size because I prefer not to use a watermark, so that it doesn't interfere with the photo for the viewer. But smaller = if/when someone pinches the photo they get less quality! Paul

Amazing photo! The size of the 777 is massive. I also noticed that it looked like the number 2 (right) engine is shut down on the 777. I could be wrong, but does PIA encourage single engine taxi.
