Aviation Photo #1653173 Tupolev Tu-134A-3 - Yamal Airlines

A dark trail of fuel and a loud noise accompaniment are the unique distinctive features of Russians' all time favorite plane, Tupolev Tu-134. Unfortunately I cannot describe all the noise impression that it creates, but at least I can share the picture of its approach with you.

OMG! I thought the photo was taken in the 70s-80s, but no! It's 2010! It's really great!! I loved my unique flight on Tu-134 back in 1997. Keep them flying!

Someone once said that Tupolev-134 is a genoius invention of how to transduce fuel into noise and smoke. Compared to that its ability to fly seems more like a side effect, really :-)

This is the real stuff, not like airbus or boeing electronic toys.

One of modifications of her engines, with increased thrust and afterburner installed, also powers the Foxhound MiG-31!

Excellent! Reminds me B-707 smoke trail. Anyway this is an impressive image of one of the safest airframes in the world. Among other things she has oil tanks only in the wing (a small rubber reserve tank was optionally installed in the hull at some stage) so there is no fuel to burn down the passengers during accidents and take-off/landing crashes....
