Note the leading edge flaps (not slats). The belly is white as opposed to the traditional unpainted metal look. This is because AI had botched an attempt to redesign the Air India livery to represent a rising sun, They quickly reverted back to original livery after receiving instant negative feedback. In this picture part of the job of undoing the new paint-job has been accomplished and soon after this, the white belly must have been reverted to the metal finish. Anyone know?
