The Prototype DC-10 is seen in service with American Airlines on short final landing runway 27 routing PHL-ORD-SAN. First flight was August 29, 1970. Delivery date was December 8, 1972. Other serials - N10DC - the 1st DC-10 with Douglas Aircraft Company, N1187G - ntu, and also N101AA with Federal Express for spare parts. Wears FN 101 with American Airlines. Stored at GYR (Goodyear) in 1999 as N101AA, & was eventually broken-up.
