This would have been my first picture at the unique place .... BA Tri Star in old colours ... just found this slide somewhere hidden away ... and wanted to share it with all my friends out there ... look at these cars !!! Vintage cars by now that would be .....

I flew 'BN MAN-JFK in 1990 (she had the Landor colours by then, of course) and it was a very nice flight as I recall. This was long before the days of personal IFE and I think they may have played a movie but it wasn't important to me. Within two years, the Manchester-New York route would be performed by Boeing 767-300s, which essentially replaced the L-1011s in BA's fleet, and they had television units in the aisles and on the bulkheads. The cars in this photo are great, looks like a Ford Cortina Mark IV behind the lorry, with a dark blue Austin Maestro following an unidentified hatchback (possibly a Renault?)
