The Chilean Air Force originally received 40 B-26 between 1954 and 1960, and they were mainly destined to serve in Northern Chile with Grupo 8 until 1972, when they were struck of charge. The aircraft on display at the museum was built in 1944 as a TB-26D with USAF serial 44-34741 and used FACH serial 848 while in active service [Canon 40D + EF 17-40 f/4L USM].
