What's that green Landing-Thing in front of the Throttle?
It's a small two way flip card to indentify if the cabin is secured or not

The 'green landing thing' is purely an indicator to the flight crew as to whether the cabin is secured for take off or landing. Once the Flight attendants inform the cockpit that the cabin is secure, the indicator will be changed to secure. Once the seat belt sign is turned off in the cruise, it is reset to insecure before being changed back to secure again once the flight deck are informed that the cabin is secure for landing. It's not electronic and doesn't actually 'do anything'.

It's just a simple switch which states : Cabin safe for landing or Cabin not safe for landing. It needs to be manually flipped left or right once you get confirmation from the cabin crew.

It's actually used for take-off aswell! the PNF will flip it after pushback/during taxi to runway when the cabin crew inform the flightdeck that the cabin is secured for take-off. They use it as an indication during the checklists so they don't have to call the cabin.
