Holding for traffic spacing. Never realized Learjets had a landing light installed up in the tail.

Great picture of a great airplane!
Actually, the light up there in the tail is called "Recognition Light", and as the name says, it´s main purpose is to indicate the position of the plane for other traffics.
The landing lights are there in the main landing gear. There´re 2 positions for the landing lights. The first one is the "Taxi" position, which provides brightless light (21V), used for taxing. The second one is the "Landing" position, in which the lights are full bright (28V), used for take-off and landing operations.
