The D check at Schiphol-East was never completed because there were no RB211 engines available for this aircraft. All engines had to be overhauled and this takes quite some time.
During that time European got bankrupt and in december 2003 the plane was stored until further notice with all the engine related work from the D-check undone.
This picture shows clearly that the undercarriage
,the leading edge panels, trailing edge flaps, some main entry doors and a lot of further rotable parts are removed to be used on other aircraft after a shop visit.
The cockpit will be used as lesson material by a school.
