When Hawaii's prevailing tradewinds stop blowing, vog (volcanic haze) from the Big Island's active Kīlauea Volcano can quickly spread throughout the main Hawaiian Island chain. In addition to the reduced visibility, these conditions bring along unfavorably hot and humid weather. A Hawaiian B712 is photographed completing another inter-island hop, bathed in a characteristic reddish hue from the vog and low sun.
