" Discovery" has been brought into the VAB for perhaps her last "lift". Here the two cranes (325 ton for the front and a 175 ton for the back) have lifted her off her trailer and rotated her 90 degrees. The engineers in the two cherry pickers on the left and right are removing the 175 ton rear attachments. After this she will be left in this position for hours while the motion harmonics all dampen out. At this point minute detailed photos of her entire body are taken to match those after launch for safety

I had the opportunity to visit the Kennedy S.C. last year and I was amazed by the whole structure.
This picture simply shows the capacity of the man to go further the average knowdlegde. Fantastic shot like a real Star Wars movie!
