The De Havilland Vampire, with its moulded plywood fuselage and Goblin turbojet engine, was an extremely successful British export - over 4,400 examples were built. The F.3 was a single-seat fighter version for the Royal Air Force, with a revised tail design compared with the F.1. Preserved alongside the iconic Lancaster bomber at the RAF Museum Hendon.
