Flying from a once very active Royal Naval Air Station, the Viking T1 gliders of 662 VGS are now the only aircraft which can regularly be seen in the skies above RM Condor. Now home to 45 Commando, Royal Marines, much of the infrastructure of the Royal Navy’s air engineer school still remains. The squadron’s headquarters are situated in the old control tower, which now houses their briefing rooms, offices and classrooms.
