Built in Woolston in 1939, the Walrus is a spotter reconnaissance amphibious aircraft with crew of 3 and powered by a 775hp Bristol Pegasus II, M2 or VI engine. It served with the Fleet Air Arm up to 1946 where it was bought and put on the civil register and retired in 1948. It's been with the Fleet Air Arm Museun since 1966 and is seen here in Hall 1 (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DG HSM))
