The Swallow II is a British redesigned version of the German Klemm L25. First registered in 1938, G-AFGD was later impressed into military service in World War 2 as BK897. Following a lengthy restoration, the aircraft was made airworthy and flew again on the 6th June 2013.

The late John Hughes had a third share and was the main pilot,they called themselves South Wales Flying because they all lived in Newport. I had the privalage to fly with John in the Swallow from their base in Shobden,an experience I will never forget.John and his 2 colleagues where so dedicated John would be so proud to see the Swallow on line.
