This photo shows Col Pay taxying his first P-40 at Richmond in 1991. This Kittyhawk was ordered for the RAF (as AK752) in May 1940, but diverted to RCAF Canada on 09Oct1941. The colour scheme is that of 132 Sqn RCAF, which served in defence of West coast Canada from April 1942 to Sep 1944 (disbanding at Vancouver Island). She was re-serialled as 1028 and transferred to 133 Sqn (Code FN-H) [underlined]. She served at Sea Island/ Patricia Bay in 1944/45 and was SOC 16Aug1946, at RCAF Stn Vulcan Alberta.
