Although non-fatal, the pilot did suffer head injuries and has been hospitalized. Yesterday afternoon, shortly after a Southerly departure, this PA30's engines went dead. Miraculously the pilot steered away from the nearby farms in the area and ditched it in this field. Unbelievable how someone could come out of that alive! Aircraft has been cordoned off and a guard put on to fend any treasure hunters off!
