Marked as 50-1054, in reality was 50-0980. The distinctive elongated nose of the Lockheed F-94C Starfire at Wright-Patterson AFB. Intended as an interim type the Starfire scored kills in Korea and proved to be an effective night interceptor.

I have flown this exact aircraft, FA054 while stationed at Dover AFB from 1953-1956. It was a sweet-flying beauty and more agile than you might think. You say that Tony Lavier was the only pilot to push it through the sound barrier but that's not true. I drove it through the barrier several times.
A great aircraft. Tony came to Dover on one occasion and flew a 94 with the tip tanks removed. Wow, what
he did with that 94 made us pilots drool. Jim Webster, 1/Lt retired.
