Japan, August 3, 2014
Remark
Photographer
JA802A (cn 34497/24) ANA's regional B787-8 is usually departing in the morning so difficult to catch in good light in this place, so luckily 6 hours big delay with this ANA919 for PVG possible to capture in nice summer light.

USA - Air Force
North American T-6D Mosquito
Dayton - Wright-Patterson AFB (Wright AFB) (DWF) (closed)
USA - Ohio, August 18, 2013
Remark
Photographer
42-84216 / TA-216 (cn 88-15997) The T-6 made its name as a trainer but was rapidly pressed into service at the start of the Korean War in the role of a forward air controller (FAC). The FAC T-6D 'Mosquito' version performed well but was retired by the USAF as single props were thought to be unsuitable for these missions in the jet-age, a decision that was quickly reversed in Vietnam. This Mosquito flew with the 6147th Tactical Air Control Group in the Korean War and was eventually acquired by the National Museum of the USAF in 1995.
