N88892 photographed at Dunsfold (EGTD) on Jul 5 by Ben Kings. Sorry for the quality, it was a bumpy day in the DA40... Whats up with G-BDXJ? Reg change, engine change and drop-tanks? Looks like a B-52 wing... maybe XJ is becoming an actor? Yes indeed! Badged with the fictional Hollywood registration N88892, it will be used in a James Bond film. For the Bond film, the two outer engines have been replaced with outboard wing tanks, while the inner engines have been replaced with mocked-up dual pylon-mounted engine pods under each wing near similar to those initially on the Boeing B-47 Stratojet.

This photograph was taken at the end of the 2005 'Wings and Wheels' event when the sun was finally setting and almost everyone had gone home. I hope she has a long career as a film star!

G-BDXJ photographed at Dunsfold (EGTD) on May 25 by s.d.r. An incredible event at the now closed airfield of Dunsfold in Surrey, approximately 10-15 miles North-West of Horsham. This 747 flew from Gatwick as 'Snowbird 1P' and landed on Dunsfold's 6100ft long runway in preparation for the 'Wings & Wheels' event in June and unfortunately afterwards destined for the scrap man
