C-FYDU (cn 1694) view of the passenger cabin of this combi HS748. Cargo is transported in the rear and the front part of the aircraft. Interestingly the bulkhead between passenger and cargo cabin is decorated with something that looks like a selfmade tapestry. |

CR831 Sri Lanka had a long reliance on 748s that served in Air Ceylon and Sri Lanka Air Force. # 2 Squadron used 5 (including one ex Air Ceylon) as an air bridge to supply the beleaguered northern Jaffna garrison from 1983 to 1995. These aircrafts did the 45 minute flight to the battlefront 24/7. In April 1995, two were lost to MANPADS on consecutive days with the loss of all aboard. Tactics were changed and An-32Bs with electronic countermeasures were introduced. The surviving three soldiered on till 2003. |

CR831 (cn 1587) Sri Lanka had a long reliance on 748s that served in Air Ceylon and Sri Lanka Air Force. # 2 Squadron used 5 (including one ex Air Ceylon) as an air bridge to supply the beleaguered northern Jaffna garrison from 1983 to 1995. The use of SAMs by terrorists to shoot down 2 (killing approx. 105) led to the introduction of An-32Bs and new tactics. This airframe is setup for a mock flight including sound and video monitors for forward and side view. The kids loved this 10 min circuit of Ratmalana AFB |

C-FAGI (cn 1699) The simple but comfortable interior of AGI. One of four Hawkers flown by Air North. The others do have hatracks, but this one is a little different. All four can be operated as full pax (40 seats), combi (anywhere from 4 to 40 pax plus cargo), full freighter (~10,000lbs), or bulk fuel hauler (8 tanks). This photo shows 32 config. |
