C-FYDU (cn 1694) Air North's flight ANT305 from Whitehorse to Fairbanks was operated with two stops that day. 3hrs and two stops are certainly not the most comfortable connection, but at least the most adventurous. Both airports, Dawson City and Old Crow, are remote villages in the Yukon with gravel strips, which are used to supply goods of basic need by air. This is also the reason why Air North operates its HS748 in combi configuration. The flightdeck is seen here while the pilots were unloading some freight. |

C-FYDU (cn 1694) Flight deck of this passenger HS-748, during our stop from Fairbanks to Whitehorse. Manufactured in 1970, it joined the Air North fleet in 1996. Before, it flew with Mount Cook Airline as ZK-MCP. Many thanks to the kind crew for allowing me this photo session. |

CR831 (cn 1587) The cockpit of one of SLAF's preserved "Avros". This type is popularly referred to as such in the local press and in the service. I guess the name is result of the the brand's strong heritage appeal given the long history of Avro aircraft in Ceylon/SriLanka. This one is set with forward view (screens in the cockpit windows) and side view (passenger windows) depicting a 10 minute circuit of Ratmalana. The keyboard is to run the computer that runs the show. The airman's job is babysit the computer. |

C-FAGI (cn 1699) Not everyone these days gets a chance to fly around in a 1960s-era flight deck. Built in 1971, but still working well. Very few designs can handle the cold weather, gravel strips, and combination of passengers and freight as well as the Hawkers can. |
