General Electric
Boeing 747-121(A/SF)
Hong Kong - International (Chek Lap Kok) (HKG / VHHH)
China - Hong Kong, June 8, 2011
Remark
Photographer
N747GE (cn 19651/25) One of the best movements in my entire collection!! N747GE is an ex-Pan Am 747-100 testbed aircraft for General Electric although it is powered by Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7A engines. It’s one of the oldest 747s still in service with its first flight in 1970. It’s departing for Victorville via Guam and Honolulu after a month-long stay in HKG where it underwent maintenance at HAECO.

NASA
Boeing 747-123(SCA)
Titusville - NASA Shuttle Landing Facility (TTS)
USA - Florida, September 16, 2012
Remark
Photographer
N905NA (cn 20107/86) The last space shuttle carrier departs the Mate Demate Device (MDD) with her very last payload (Endeavour). This was one of my last shuttle ops and, coincidentally, I am captured at the very end of of walkway on the left taking some final pictures as she left my watch. Dimitri Gerondidakis of NASA, on left, saved the day for me by alerting me that this remote camera was not working the day before. I am very thankful for him catching this fact on a very busy day of ops for all of us.
