XV757 (cn 712020) Of the Harrier Operational Conversion Unit based at RAF Wittering which was formed in 1969. This aircraft collided with XZ128 at Wisbeach, Cambridgeshire, on 21.9.79. Both pilots ejected safely, but three civilians were killed on the ground when one aircraft crashed into houses. Photo taken with a point & shoot camera. |

XZ499 (cn 912023/P32) This Sea Harrier FA2 was built in 1981 as a Sea Harrier FRS1 but converted to an FA2 in 1987. It saw active service in 1982 during the Falklands Conflict aboard HMS Hermes. Sea Harriers left service in 2006 when all naval harrier flying transferred to the naval Strike Wing as part of the Joint Force Harrier based at RAF Cottesmore. XZ499 was retired from service and transferred to the Fleet Air Arm Museum in 2002 (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DG HSM) |

XZ493 / N-001 (cn 912017) Sitting proudly on the ski jump inside Hall 4 at the Fleet Air Arm Museum. This Shar is painted in the markings of Nigel 'Sharkey' Ward of 801 NAS during the Flaklands War depicting it about to take on the Argentinian Mirage IIIs. This aircraft was lost over the Adriatic in 1994, but recovered from over 700m depth of water and rebuilt to static FRS1 standard using the rear fuselage and wings of GR3 XV760 (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DG HSM) |

ZE691 / 710 A privately owned and displayed Harrier FA2. It was delivered to the Royal Navy on 23rd November 1987, and converted to a FA.2 in 1994. It was then stored at Everett Aero, Sproughton before being restored at Queensbury, near Bradford in May 2008 by Jet Art. It's then thought to have been purchased and brought to it's current location for display (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DG HSM) |
