Breitling (Super Constellation Flyers)
Lockheed L-1049F Super Constellation
Salzburg - W.A. Mozart (Maxglan) (SZG / LOWS)
Austria, August 17, 2014
Remark
Photographer
HB-RSC (cn 4175) In 2014 there is only 3 of those still flying. Shooting this beauty air-to-air definitely was the highlight of my 'career' as an aviation photographer. Many thanks to the super friendly Super Connie crew, to Norbert, the pilot of photoship N48WE and to the ATC at LOWS. They all contributed to making this picture possible.

USA - Air Force
Lockheed EC-121D Warning Star (L-1049A)
Dayton - Wright-Patterson AFB (Wright AFB) (DWF) (closed)
USA - Ohio, August 18, 2013
Remark
Photographer
53-0555 (cn 4370) 'City of Sacramento' on display in the Southeast Asia War Gallery at the National Museum of the USAF. This EC-121 entered the history books on Oct. 24, 1967 over the Gulf of Tonkin as it guided a US fighter into position to destroy a MiG-21. This action marked the first time a weapons controller aboard an airborne radar aircraft had ever directed a successful attack on an enemy plane.
