G-BOAC (cn 204) Concorde G-BOAC a few years ago at MAN. I have a special attachment to this airframe, it did a flypast of my very first cricket match as captain way back in 1999 on it's way in to Exeter. Special thanks to Paul Markman for the help editing, and to Paul Heslop at the AVP for the private tour earlier this month (Sep 2009) in the new purpose built hangar (Pentax K10D) |

G-BOAF (cn 216) Last Concorde visit to Perth, & last Concorde built. Around world charter by wealthy Americans - US$30,000 per seat. Was to visit Perth previous day (also first visit by B747-400), but lost part of upper rudder, enroute Auckland to Sydney on 12.4.89. Had to wait for a rudder to be flown from UK. Landed on rwy 21 at 10.30. Perth was a fuel stop only. Pushed back after 40-min delay at 12.30, took off from rwy 03 as BA9051 to Colombo, callsign "Speedbird Concorde Alpha Foxtrot". Now preserved at Filton. |

G-BOAC (cn 204) The first two rows of alpha-charlies narrow, but very comfortable cabin on this iconic supersonic jetliner. Rows 1 and 2 were the favourite amongst the rich and famous who used to fly on her so they could watch the mach and altitude meters so they knew when they went through the sound barrier (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DC HSM, Speedlite 430EX) |
