NX622 Inside our 'Lanc' looking forward, from the main door. The tracks heading aft hold the .50 cal ammo for the rear turret, with the magazines mounted at the aft end of the bomb bay. The hydraulic oil reservoir to the left is for the Martin mid upper turret, normally located directly above the bomb bay, with the rear gunners heating line running down the right hand side. The drum in the centre houses the ASV radar scanner (a maritime search version of the H2S radar). The round windows look into the bomb bay. |

NX622 Inside the nose of our 'Lanc'. Clockwise from left the major items are the bombsight computer, the grey box above is the F24 camera controller, the two magazines for the twin .303 guns hang down from the nose turret above, the escape hatch can be seen below, the MK XIV bombsight in the centre of the nose blister and then finally across to the stick bombing timing unit. Not the place for the feint hearted in a war! Thanks to Paul Markman for his editing help. |

NX664 / WU-21/4 This aircraft was delivered to Aeronavale as WU-21 in 1952. It was damaged while landing, Mata Uti, Wallis Islands, South Pacific and stripped and abandoned in 1963. The hulk was recovered in 1984 and conveyed to Le Bourget for restoration |
