MW100 (cn 1223) Wearing a fake registration, it's actually TS798. In 1941, Avro designer Roy Chadwick began to sketch a long range transport aircraft based on the Lancaster. It used the wings, tail, undercarriage and engines of the Lancaster Bomber and proved a useful military and civilian transport aircraft in war and peace. The prototype flew on 5 July 1942 with production commencing in 1943. 258 aircraft were manufactured before construction ceased in November 1946 (Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20 EX DC HSM, Speedlite 430 EX) |
