WR960 Photographed on approach to Keflavik. Fortunately this Shackleton is one of the few that still survive today, in the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. Sad to see these wonderful machines being reduced to scrap, as so many of its contemporaries have been. |

WL754 / 54 Among the last visits of the AEW Shackletons to Keflavik, WL754 is shown taxying out in some wet conditions. Note that there are lookouts both in the nose position and astrodome, keeping a close watch on the photographer. To this date the only photo on Airliners of 754 in an operational state. |

WR960 Now preserved in the super Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. This Shackleton was built at Woodford in 1954 and served with various squadrons in a martime reconnaisance role. In 1972 she was converted to fulfill an AEW role and named 'Dougal' (can you spot him?) as all 8 Sqn aircraft were named after characters in either The Magic Roundabout or Herb Garden. |

WL745 / J Taxying and parking on the AEW ramp after arrival beside a Boeing E-3A. Note that the E-3A is fenced of and the Shackleton parks outside the fence. Also note the security guard in his car seen under the Shacks left wing. He was looking at the photographer with suspicion. |
