VH-EAD (cn 19624/689) "City of Newcastle" was delivered to Qantas 23/03/68 and is seen leaving terminal two. The strange object in the bottom right corner of the photo could be a passenger airbridge operator trainer. It looks as if there is vertical adjustment for different heights. Thanks to Andy Kennaugh for your comments. |

A20-627 (cn 19627/707) Rear 3/4 view of immaculate 33 Squadron Boeing 707-338C A20-627 taxying after landing on Canberra's Rwy 35 on a wet day in May 1983. (Photo taken before the aircraft was Modified for Tanker (KC) Role.) A20-627, Windsor Town, was formerly Qantas VH-EAG. Delivered to Qantas on 16May1968. (She was also the 707th Boeing 707 built.) I also saw A20-627 at Richmond in October 2006 - as a stripped out hulk. Low res photo. |
