N507FE (cn 18278/113) I tracked down the correct registration of this FedEx, N507FE "Samuel". So, this plane started Eastern Airlines N8127N and LASCA then FedEx until retired at Mojave. Now end up here just part of nose in Houston Hobby for Aviation Mechanic just across the street from Hobby. [Canon XSi + EF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 IS] |

N708DH (cn 18275/101) I didn't know what pic to use for my 500th but after much thought I decided to go back where it started. My first pic was of an EALEX airframe and since I was fed and clothed from EAL dollars what better than one of their birds. I still remember when Tom Havens dragged me to Kingman and then pointed out that not only was it a catch to see a 721 with winglets but that it was ex EAL. It was a special day as has been the last 5 years of uploading. Thanks to all, you know who you are. |

5Y-BMW (cn 18255/14) The Aero Zambia 727 was damaged at Asmara by a fuel truck in May 1998. While awaiting repair, the airplane was strafed by a MiG fighter during a raid on June 5th and damaged by small calibre gun fire. Wiring damage behind the cockpit was such that the whole area needed to be re-wired. It was decided not to repair the plane, instead it was purchased by International Air Parts and was stripped of the engines and other parts. The aircraft was then towed for three kilometers to Asmara Expo Park. |
